A radical idea
For The Love of Paws was founded on a simple but radical idea: a vet clinic can sustain itself, serve its community, and reinvest its own revenue to make care accessible for the families who need it most.
Ten years strong
For ten years we've operated as a nonprofit medical practice — not a shelter, not a charity clinic — using net revenue from every appointment to directly subsidize discounted services for low-income pet owners, adopted pets with medical needs, and community cats.
A million in care
Since opening on April 1, 2016, we've provided over $1 million in discounted veterinary care to Douglas County families.

These subsidies aren't funded by outside grants or corporate sponsors; they're possible because our clients choose us. Every paid visit helps another pet receive vaccines, microchips, diagnostics, or surgery at reduced cost.
